Daniel Rodriguez, founder of Rodriguez & Associates, is featured in Backroads, the world’s number one active travel company website in an article titled “Unlikely Journey.” The article highlights his fifty-plus backroads journeys as well as his unique upbringing.
In his interview, Daniel discusses the many Backroads trips he has taken since the mid-1980s and how he feels a connection between those trips and his own life story.
“There are no shortcuts in life, really. It’s not about being the smartest; it’s about being the most prepared and the hardest-working individual. Be prepared for an opportunity and jump on it when it presents itself.”
While discussing his travels, Daniel talks about his upbringing, including being born to migrant farm workers and growing up in labor camps. Throughout the interview, Daniel praises his parents for their emphasis on education, which led him to settle in California and obtain a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and a law degree from UCLA.
“With a love of learning, the sky’s the limit.”
